In case you missed it, here’s the first part of our D.C. trip exploring Capitol Hill!

The last part of our trip consisted of a few more really nice dinners during restaurant week, visiting the Smithsonian/National Mall, National Monument, Arlington Cemetery, Lincoln Memorial, Ford’s Theatre, The White House, and my absolute favorite, Georgetown. Phew! We definitely packed in as much as humanly possible while we were there. I told Hector we probably could’ve used one extra day. There’s really so much to see and do there. 4 days was plenty but 5 would give you even more time to be able to really explore anything you may not have thought of to see. We were bummed to have missed out on visiting the Air and Space museum. We managed to check out the National History, American History, and the Holocaust museums, saving the Air and Space Museum for last. However, since we saved it for the last day and during the day of the solar eclipse, the line was crazy long and since we were on a schedule for our flight that day, we unfortunately did not get the chance to check it out. I guess this just means another trip!

Here are the rest of the photos and highlights from the rest of our D.C. trip.

Part of our second day consisted of visiting the Smithsonian, visiting the Museum of Natural History and American History.

  1. What a fun (and busy!) trip! My friend lived in DC and I agree there was so much to do. I love love Georgetown too!
