I’ve been to the Chicago Botanic Gardens a few times but it has been years since I’ve been back. As a kid, it wasn’t a place I appreciated much when I would go with my mom and my dad. Now that I’m older, I totally get it. It’s actually quite magical and it feels like you escape to the the countryside of France! I’m so glad we decided to go on a whim since the day surprised us with gorgeous weather. unnamed (3)unnamed (4)unnamed (31)unnamed (30)unnamed (21)unnamed (34)

Everywhere we went was so picturesque!unnamed (32)unnamed (29)These flowers were my absolute favorite just because of the color alone. So beautiful!unnamed (18)unnamed (13)unnamed (12)There are gardens that you really can get lost in like this one.unnamed (10)unnamed (26)unnamed (17)unnamed (36)The dress I wore was perfect too. It was a much warmer day and because it was so lightweight and easy to move in,  it didn’t feel too hot to wear. Such a feminie and flattering dress.  I got this one from H&M. You can find one similar here.unnamed (38)unnamed (35)unnamed (6)unnamed (25)unnamed (23)unnamed (28)unnamed (19)unnamed (27)I also love the fact that you can bring your own food and have a little picnic anywhere. All of the views are absolutely stunning so you can’t go wrong.  Overall, it turned out to be such a beautiful day. Both Hector and I agreed that we will definitely be back, and possibly have a little picnic ourselves next time.
